Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using JAAP (“the Service”), operated at getjaap.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What JAAP Does

JAAP is an automated job application platform. It searches for job listings matching your preferences, drafts application materials, submits applications via LinkedIn Easy Apply, and sends personalised outreach emails to hiring managers — on your behalf, with your explicit approval at every step.

JAAP does not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any specific outcome. Results depend on your profile, available roles, and decisions made by third-party employers.

3. Your Account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use JAAP.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information — JAAP sends emails and submits applications on your behalf, and misrepresentation creates legal and reputational risk for you.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits is prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use JAAP to:

• Send unsolicited bulk email unrelated to genuine job applications.
• Impersonate another person or use false credentials.
• Apply to roles you are not meaningfully qualified for or have no genuine interest in.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the JAAP platform itself.
• Violate any applicable law or third-party platform terms (including LinkedIn and Gmail).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, generate spam complaints, or send abusive volume — without notice or refund.

5. Third-Party Integrations

JAAP connects to third-party services on your behalf. By using JAAP you acknowledge:

• Gmail: You authorise JAAP to send emails and detect replies from your Gmail account. We request only the minimum scopes needed. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account security settings.
• LinkedIn: You provide your LinkedIn session cookie to enable Easy Apply submissions. You are responsible for compliance with LinkedIn's Terms of Service. JAAP takes no responsibility for any LinkedIn account restrictions.
• Telegram: You connect your Telegram account to receive approval notifications. We store only your Telegram chat ID and use it solely for delivering these notifications.

6. Billing and Subscriptions

• Paid plans (Pro and Business) are billed monthly in Nigerian Naira via Paystack.
• Subscriptions renew automatically on the same date each month unless cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued.
• The Starter plan is free with permanent usage limits. We reserve the right to change free plan limits with 30 days' notice.
• Price changes for paid plans will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of JAAP is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We store only the data required to provide the service. You can request full deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@getjaap.com.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

JAAP is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or completeness of job listings, contact data, or email deliverability. Use of the service is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JAAP's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including lost job opportunities.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active users via email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
